The centrifugal disc for air separators used in the removal of husks from grain or seed, has a number of radial channels with profiled sidewalls. The sidewalls (14a, 14v) of each radial channel (14) are approximately parallel, and that the profile of one sidewall (14a) has a groove (10) with radial direction to the circumference of the centrifugal plate (2) and forms grooved areas (11) divergent to the passage (14) axis. Each groove (10) has a surface (11) providing constant divergence in the direction of the radial axis of the passage (14). The groove is formed by a triangular profile of the sidewalls (14a) of each passage. USE/ADVANTAGE - The assembly removes husks from grains such as sunflower seeds and oats. The assembly optimises the removal of husks irrespective of grain sizes which otherwise cause blockages.
