STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY

PURPOSE: To provide a steering column assembly for a motor vehicle having no defects such as comparative complexity in structure and slack generated in case of transmitting rotation between a shaft portion supporting a steering handle and a shaft portion connected to another portion of a steering mechanism of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: In a steering column assembly particularly for a motor vehicle having a steering shaft 101 which includes an antitheft bolt mechanism 103 movable between a retracted position and an active anti-theft position and is mounted rotably in a column body 102, the corresponding end zones 105a and 106a of the shaft portions are arranged one around the other, and the disengageable linkage mechanism 108 is mounted so as to move around the shaft portion carrying the steering wheel.
