The DC motor controller operated by a battery a micro computer has a power source and watchdog circuit for dropping the battery power source voltage and monitoring operation of the micro computer. A motor driver includes a number of power elements. A mounting body of heat dissipating construction protects the number of power elements in the motor driver. Output current and temperature sensors detects the motor driver output current and temperature signals for supply to the micro computer. The controller is used to DC traction motor powered from DC source for example vehicle battery.
