PURPOSE:To prevent an archfact from occurring by attenuating a side lobe by an ultrasonic absorber when an ultrasonic probe with acoustic coupler which compensates adhesion between a subject and the ultrasonic probe is used. CONSTITUTION:An acoustic coupler 4 provided between the ultrasonic probe and the subject 10 is held with the housing case 1 of the probe so as to fill an ultrasonic propagation medium 5 between a sealing container 6 and the probe. The ultrasonic absorber 7 is provided at a part where the sealing container 6 is prevented from being brought into contact with the subject 10 when inspection is performed on the inner wall of the sealing container 6. The ultrasonic absorber 7 absorbs the side lobe, and prevents it from intruding to the inside of the subject. |
