The prepn. block (5d) is fixed in the suction area of a suction mouthpiece (2) or in the vicinity of a filing block (4) of which it can be an extension. The block has a cross-sectional area (6) with an edge (7) which extends over the surface of the filing block (4). The block has two areas (8,9), of which the one has a finer granulation (8) than the other (9). It is releasably fixed to the work place, e.g. by screws, magnets or a reception rail. USE/ADVANTAGE - An unlosable prepn. block for use in dental technical laboratory work.
