摘要 <p>A sight flow apparatus (10) includes a body (15) designed to be connected in-line to fluid pipes (11, 12) within a manufacturing plant or other facility. One or more window assemblies (49, 50) are removably mounted on the sides or ends of the body to allow visual inspection of fluid flow through the body cavity (36). A fluid indicator device (72) i.e., a flapper assembly (180) or a rotor assembly (90), is mounted within the body cavity (36) and supported by an axle (73) extending between the windows (51, 62) between the body itself, or between a pair of alignment washers (60, 70) located within the body (15). The rotor assembly (90) includes a plurality of planar blades (90a, 90b, 90c) which are interconnected to form generally radially extending vanes. Each blade includes a pair of slots (99a, 99b, 102a, 102b) which extend inwardly from at least one end of the blade and which allow the blades to be interconnected to form the rotor assembly (90). An elarged indicator cap (120, 140) is coupled to each end of the rotor assembly (90) to improve visual examination of fluid flow effects, to lock the interconnected blades (90a, 90b, 90c) together and to prevent the blades from contacting the windows (51, 62), alignment washer (60, 70) or body (15). Each vane on the rotor assembly (90) can include an opening (105, 106, 107, 108) to reduce the pressure drop across the rotor assembly (90). The flapper assembly (180) for the sight flow apparatus (10) includes a single blade (182) which is coupled on each end (183, 186) to the axle (73) with an enlarged indicator cap (184, 188). The indicator cap (120, 140, 184, 188) on the rotor assembly (90) and the flapper assembly (180) facilitate visually inspecting the fluid flow through the windows (51, 52) in the sight flow apparatus (10) over a wide range of fluid conditions.</p>
