New adducts of bis:triazolyl-ethanol fungicides with saccharin - used esp. on rice and cereal crops and against powdery mildew, and are more effective than parent fungicides

Bis-triazolyl-saccharin adducts of formula (I); X = halo; Z = halo; 1-4C alkyl or alkoxy opt. mono- to penta-substd. by halo; phenyl or phenoxy; m = 0-3. USE - (I) are fungicides with good plant tolerance and good in vitro activity. They are esp. effective against Pyricularia and Pellicularia on rice, Venturia, powdery mildew on dicot plants and Septoria nodorum, Cochliobolus sativus and Pyrenophora teres on cereals. Application is in conventional formulations in concns. of 0.0001-1 wt%, esp. 0.5-0.001 wt%, to treat plants and 0.00001-0.1 wt%, esp. 0.0001-50 g, pref. 0.01-10 g, per kg seed. ADVANTAGE - (I) have better activity than 1-(3-chloro-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)- cyclopropyl)-1-(4-(fluoro or methyl)phenyl)-2- (1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-ethan-1-ol known from EP405240.
