PURPOSE:To favourably atomize fuel and prevent the adhesion of the fuel on the inner wall surface of a straight port, accompanied with the increase of the quantity of the intake air by utilizing the intake stream which passes through a communication port formed on a partitioning wall between the straight port and a helical port when the straight port is closed by a closing valve, as for the intake controller for an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:An intake controller is equipped with a communication port 5 which is formed on the downstream side from a closing valve 3 on a partitioning wall 4 between a straight port 2 and a helical port 1, fuel injection means 6 which jets out fuel at least to the straight port 2 from the vicinity of the communication port 5, and the first detection means 10 for detecting the pressure on the downstream side of the closing valve 3 of the straight port 2 in the suction cycle when at least the closing valve 3 is closed. At the same time, the intake controller is equipped with the second detecting means 11 for detecting the pressure in the helical port and a pressure varying means for varying the pressure on the downstream side of the closing valve 3 of the straight port 2 so that the pressure difference between both does not exceed a prescribed value. |
