In sweeping machines having cylinder-like brushes, a brush consists of a cylinder or shaft on which a number of rings are threaded, each of which rings is provided, at its periphery, with a number of bristle bundles which are radially directed outwards and which are mounted in holes which are radially directed inwards. The assembly of the bristle bundles has hitherto been complicated in as much as it has been necessary to use, for each element, two rings possessing radial recesses for the said holes and a peripheral groove for a wire which connects all the bristle bundles in a ring. The bristle bundles have to be placed in the said recesses in one ring before the two rings can be joined together. According to the invention, the assembly of the bristle bundles in a ring is simplified by means of having one ring with ready-formed holes, by means of using bristle bundles each of which is provided, at its attachment end, with a ring-shaped body through which all the bristles in a bundle pass, and by means of anchoring the ring-shaped body in the pertinent hole. <IMAGE> |
