<p>PURPOSE:To carry out photodetection with one or two optical fibers by emitting a plurality of rays with different wavelength to air from a first optical fiber and detecting respective components of light incident upon a second optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:Respective rays of light sources (1-1)-(1-n) with different wavelength are wave-combined by a photocombining apparatus 2, transmitted through an optical fiber 3, emitted from a rod lens 5, led to pass photofilters (7-1)-(7-n), sent from a rod lens 6 to an optical fiber 8, and put in a photodividing apparatus 9 and divided. The filters (7-1)-(7-n) of an object detecting part 4 stop or transmit light with specified wavelength and only the rays with specified wavelength which can be transmitted through all the filters between the lens 5, 6 reach the lens 6 and are sent out of a light receiving part. The components of light which cannot pass even one filter can not reach the lens 6 and are not put out. Consequently, if the light to be stopped and transmitted by a filter is determined and the filter insertion position is also determined, it can be determined which optical filter at which position is inserted by detecting the light receiving part from which the output is sent.</p> |
