PRODUCTION OF SEC-BUTYLBENZENE

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a process for the production of sec-butylbenzene capable of sufficiently increasing the yield of sec-butylbenzene and lowering the production of isobutylbenzene as an undesirable by-product to an extremely low level. CONSTITUTION:sec-Butylbenzene is produced by reacting benzene with mixed butene in the presence of a liquid aluminum chloride complex catalyst. The mixed butene has a butadiene concentration of <=1,000wt.ppm and an isobutylene concentration of <=4,000wt.PPm.
