A method of treating a liquid fuel prior to combustion to increase the combustion efficiency of the liquid fuel and to reduce un-combusted fuel emmisions the steps comprising: passing said liquid fuel through three non-ferrous metal meshes as for a predetermined period of time, substantially simultaneously exposing said liquid fuel to an external low voltage direct current charge for a predetermined period of time to allow said liquid fuel to be charged, and sending said charged liquid fuel to be combusted, wherein said charged fuel upon vaporization thereof combusts with increased yield in relationto untreated fuel.
