The heating system includes an evaporator (110) connected to a compressor (112) and a condenser (114). The condenser is subject to a pulsed air flow provided by a fan (113). The condenser, fan and compressor are fitted within a cabinet inside the building, whilst the evaporator is embedded in the ground outside. The evaporator derives heat energy from the ground for efficient heating of the building. The condenser associated with the system may be fitted in the floor or ceiling of the building, with or without the convection fan. ADVANTAGE - The system allows greater choice of position for the installation, enabling positioning for optimum performance.
