A ball (19) mounted in the boundary area (17) between the rotor (3) and shaft (5) produces a keyed engagement between the rotor and shaft. The shaft has in the rotor area a longitudinal bore (11) and a transverse bore (15) which opens into same and holds the ball. The transverse bore can have a circular or oval cross-section. Where oval the longer dia. runs in the direction of the longitudinal or rotary axis of the shaft. The rotor has in the inner face enclosing the shaft a recess (23) holding the bore. A bearing body moves the ball out of the longitudinal bore into the cross bore so that it projects over the circumferential face of the shaft and engages in the recess in the rotor.
