An osteosynthesis plate-staple for osteotomy, including symmetrical side legs (1, 1') or asymmetrical side legs (15, 16) having sharpened free ends (4, 4'), and being joined by a cross member (2, 2'). Said legs (1, 1', 15, 16) are substantially mutually longitudinally divergent in the direction of their free ends (4, 4') so that said ends are urged away from one another when the staple is implanted, whereby bone fragments (10, 10') on either side of the fracture line are resiliently compressed. Furthermore, asymmetrical side legs (15, 16) have different shapes depending on whether they are to be inserted into the metaphyseal portion (101) of the bone (10'), or implanted in the cortical bone (102). |
