<p>PURPOSE:To execute smelting refining of scrap with less carbonaceous material consumption by charging coke into a converter, blowing gaseous O2 from a top blowing lance and bottom blowing tuyeres into the converter, igniting the gas, and charging the scrap into the converter, then blowing the gaseous O2 in accordance with the specific equation from the top blowing lance, side blowing tuyeres and bottom blowing tuyeres into the converter. CONSTITUTION:The bedding coke 3 is charged into the converter and the gaseous O2 is blown into the converter from the top blowing lance 4 and the bottom blowing tuyeres 5 and is ignited to generate a pilot fire. The scrap 6 is then charged into the converter and the gaseous O2 is blown into the converter from the top blowing lance 4, the side blowing tuyeres 1 and the bottom blowing tuyeres 3 while the oxygen feed rates are so adjusted as to satisfy the equation, by which the melting of the scrap 6 is executed. The melting of the scrap 6 is thereby executed with the less carbonaceous material consumption and high efficiency.</p> |
