<p>PURPOSE:To expand a sweet area by preventing a harm brought about by the undercut of the weight generated in the manufacture of a head by forging. CONSTITUTION:With an upper mold 21 a face 12 and sole 14 on the side of the face are formed. With the lower mold 22 the weight 15 and the rear portion of the sole 14 are formed. With such construction, the weight 15 does not get undercut at the time of molding. Besides, an angle D of upper surface 15A of the weight with respect to the face 12 can be made smaller. The center of gravity of the main body 11 of head can be arranged largely at the back of the face 12 and on the side of the sole. The sweet area can be expanded, and a head can be obtained with which a golf ball can be hit further in the upper direction.</p> |
