PURPOSE:To obtain a lubricating oil composition having excellent biodegradability, good compatibility with gasoline and good cleaning properties. CONSTITUTION:This composition is prepared by mixing an ester of a hindered alcohol with a 5-14 C fatty acid with poly(oxyalkylene)aminocarbamate and/or an alkenylsuccinimide and optionally a hydrocarbon having a boiling point of 500 deg.C or below and an aromatic content of 2% or below and/or a 6-20 deg.C ether of an aromatic content of 2% or below.
