PURPOSE:To form clear images with an ink jet recording head having a plurality of nozzles. CONSTITUTION:(1) Recording is made with nozzle #3-#42 of a recording head 11. (2) The recording head 11 is fed by the width of one pixel in the vertical scanning direction, and then the recording is made with the nozzles approx.=2-approx.=42. (3) The recording head 11 is fed by the width of one pixel in the vertical scanning direction, and then the recording is made with the nozzles #1-#42. (4) The recording head 11 is fed by the width of forty pixels in the vertical scanning direction, and then the recording is made with the nozzles #1-#42. (5) The recording head 11 is fed by the width of one pixel in the vertical scanning direction, and then the recording is made with the nozzles #2-#42. By repeating the above- mentioned feeds, ink is ejected from different nozzles (a), (b) and (c) to each one of the pixels. Thereby the irregularity of ink droplet volume among the nozzles is reduced, resulting in formation of images in clear gradation. |
