PURPOSE:To provide a weakly acidic cation exchange resin for liquid chromatography which enables high-performance fast separation with low column pressure and excellent pressure resistance. CONSTITUTION:This weakly acidic cation exchange resin for liquid chromatography is obtd. by introducing weakly acidic cation exchange groups into styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer obtd. by the reaction of styrene and divinylbenzene having <=20vol.% isomers. Since the copolymer of styrene and divinylbenzene having substantially no isomer is used as the base body, the pore structure of the column packing agent can be made almost uniform, which improves pressure resistance and decreases column pressure. By using the obtd. resin, high-performance fast separation of heavy metal ions, amines, proteolytic enzyme, proteolytic pigment, etc., is possible. |
