The component has a reactive and hardenable fluid or gel-type filling (2) with a flexible casing (1). Also claimed is a method of building using the support component. Pref. the casing is coated on the side(s) so it is self-adhesive and comprises several cushion-type filled sections. An inlay of fibres, tissue or similar, is satd. by the filling (2). The casing (1) may have a grid or net-type formation. The filling is hardenable by UV radiation, and the casing is permeable to UV rays. There are two components to the filling, which are sepd. or may be mixed and hardened by reaction with one another.
