PURPOSE:To provide a packing structure by which liquid-tightness in the cylinder of a plunger pump is held. CONSTITUTION:This packing structure 13 is constituted so that a plurality of sheets of ring-like packing 15 of V-shaped section made of Teflon are piled up, and the packing 15 is pressed and deformed so as to be spread in the radial direction and pressed against the inner wall of a cylinder 2. Metallic ring members 16 of nearly similar shape but narrow width are provided between the respective packings 15, and the V-shaped section of the packing 15 is formed so that the center top part is thin in thickness and thickness is increased toward both end parts. Further, the sectional shape of the ring member 16 is also formed to be thin in the center top part and thick toward both end parts, and hence all the packings are improved in their spreading property. |
