An insecticidal composition containing 2,3,5,6-tetrafluorobenzyl (+)-1R, trans-2,2-dimethyl-3-(2,2-dichlorovinyl)cyclopropanecarboxylate as insecticidally active ingredient, and at least one member selected from a phthalic acid diester having a total number of carbon atoms of 16 to 22 and a monovalent or divalent fatty acid ester having a total number of carbon atoms of 18 to 26 exhibits a stable insecticidal effect for a long period of time particularly when applied for heating fumigation.
