<p>PURPOSE: To provide an improved method and a device to help removal of a stent implanted in a body by a method not to cause injury. CONSTITUTION: An endoscope 60 is introduced to the base end position of an implanted stent 10, and a cannula is introduced through the endoscope 60. Then, a wire guide is led through the lumen of the stent and introduced to a duct. Then the cannula is removed, and a stent exchanging cable is advanced to the base end position of the stent 10. The stent exchanging cable is rotational torque-transmittable, and once the exchanging cable is placed in a fixed position, a rotary dial is rotated to engage the cable with the threaded part in the lumen of the stent. Then the stent 10 and the cable are removed together through the endoscope 60, the endoscope 60 and a wire guide are left as they are to use them for implantation of the exchanging stent.</p> |
