METHOD FOR SIZING CARBON FIBER

PURPOSE:To obtain a method for sizing carbon fiber, capable of simultaneously providing a bundling property, smoothness and an opening property to a carbon fiber and consequently preparing a thin high-quality one way prepreg sheet leaving no space among these fibers. CONSTITUTION:A carbon fiber is treated with an aqueous solution of a sizing agent composition containing at least one kind of specific ester compound and at least one kind of specific nonionic surfactant in a weight ratio of (90/10) to (30/70). Thereby, the sizing agent composition is applied to the carbon fiber in an amount of 0.1-5.0wt.%.
