<p>PURPOSE:To stabilize the quality of a preform for dental purposes consisting of a thermoplastic resin and to enhance the quality of a denture by storing the preform in a compression moldable state, redrying the once humidified preform to a usable dry state and storing such preform. CONSTITUTION:The preform consisting of the thermoplastic resin taken out of a moistureproof package is stored in a reduced pressure state, and in addition, in a heated state, by which the preform is stored in the compression moldable dry state over a long period. The device used for storage is exemplified by an ordinary drier known as a vacuum drier. A heater is not always required for the drier but a storage container which can raise the temp. in the storage container to humidity of about 100 to 200 deg.C is preferable in order to maintain the inadvertently humidified preform to the compression moldable dry state by reheating. As a result, the storage of the preform in the compression moldable dry state over a long period is possible.</p> |
