DRAINAGE COUPLING

PURPOSE:To prevent the closure of a lateral branched pipe by installing a projection part which cuts a part of the water film of the drainage which forms a turning flow along the inner wall surface of a longitudinal drainage pipe and projectingly installing the top edge on the inner wall surface of a coupling body on the upper side from the bottom part of the drain inflow port of a laterally branched pipe, so that the top edge of the projection part does not project to the longitudinal pipe sectional surface. CONSTITUTION:The drainage which flows down in a longitudinal pipe 2, turning in spiral form, flows into a drainage coupling 1, forming a water film 21, which is cut by a water cut-off projection part 11, and an air window 22 is always formed between a lateral branched pipe 13 and the longitudinal drainage pipe 2, and the inside of the lateral branched pipe 13 communicates to an air core at the center of the longitudinal drainage pipe 2, and is kept at an atmospheric pressure. Further, since the top edge of the water cut-off projection part 11 does not intrude inside from the water flow enabled sectional surface of the longitudinal drainage pipe 2, the solid dirt which drops in the longitudinal pipe 2 drops in a drain conduit without being caught by the water cut projection part 11. Accordingly, even if a large quantity of drain flows down in the longitudinal drain pipe 2, the trap of the sanitary equipment connected with the lateral branched pipe 13 is prevented from being broken, and the inflow of the odor in the drain conduit into a room is prevented.
