Food processing chamber - has inner conveyor system to move frames through after delivery from outer conveyor

The food processing assembly, esp. for smoking or cooling foodstuffs, has frames to contain the prods. which travel on runners at each side without wheels. Two parallel roller paths are at each processing chamber along the chamber length in tracks, to act with the rubbers of the frames. The conveyor system has a floor-level conveyor which extends as far as the entry to the processing chamber, and a conveyor, confined to the interior of the chamber. The inner conveyor system has at least one flexible conveyor mechanism with carriers at intervals equal to or pref. slightly longer than the length of the frames, to bear against carriers fitted to the frames. The flexible conveyor is operated by a drive motor. The track system pref. uses wheel flanges at the rollers of the roller path. The carriers are pref. fitted to only about half the flexible conveyor. The conveyor and frame carriers pref. work together through a centering keyed bond with an elastic cushion on one and/or the other. The frame carrier is pref. located at the centre door of the processing chamber near the conveyor deflection roller to keep the carrier below the chamber floor level if required. ADVANTAGE - The assembly gives a flexible movement of the prods. through different paths, with positive movement through narrow processing chambers.
