<p>A bed (1) capable of being converted between a two-single-bed arrangement and a double bed arrangement, the two-single-bed arrangement being a generally double bunk with one bunk located above the other, said bed (1) comprising a framework (2) of interconnected framework members forming a rigid free standing structure of two end sub-assemblies (4, 6) and the number of longitudinal members (8, 9) extending between them (4, 6) and two moveable elements (20, 22) pivotally connected to the end-subassemblies (4, 6) for pivoting movement through about 90° to convert between the two single beds and the double bed. The framework (1) being also moveable through about 90° to adopt the two configurations of the bed.</p> |
