In a ventilator mounted in the ceiling of a room and arranged to receive air from air conditioning equipment, one or more core sections 11 are supported in an outer frame 1 and may be pushed upwards from below the ventilator, rotated and then lowered on to the outer frame in an alternative position. Fig. 2 (not shown) shows four square core sections (11) supported in an outer frame and also by T-shaped cross members (10) so that they can be rotated through 90 degrees, giving four positions for each core section. Further control of the ventilator is achieved by providing each core section with a plurality of curved blades 14 (Fig. 1) mounted on pivots 15 in the side members 12 of the core sections, each curved blade 14 being independently adjustable. In addition a plurality of shutter members 16 are provided, each mounted on spindles 17 parallel to the spindles 15 of the curved blade 14. Each of the shutter members 16 has a projecting lug 18 pivotally linked with a connector bar 19 which can be adjusted to allow the required amount of air through the core section. Means are provided in the connector bar for adjusting its position by passing a hook or the like between a pair of curved blades and engaging with said means. |
