PURPOSE:To obtain a new compound useful as a synthetic intermediate for new alpha-unsaturated amines having insecticidal and acaricidal action as an agricultural chemical. CONSTITUTION:The compound of formula I (Hal is halogen; R<2> is group through H, C, N or O; HN-R<2> is phthalimide), e.g. 2-chloro-5-thiazolylmethylamine. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting formula II (one of X<1> and X<2> is electron attracting group and the other is H or electron attracting group; R<5> is 1-4C alkyl or aralkyl) with a compound of formula III (Y is H or alkali metal; A is 2-halogeno-5-thiazolyl) and reacting the resultant compound of formula IV with a compound of the formula R<1>-Y. |
