PURPOSE:To provide a toner having excellent moisture resistance and stabilized triboelectrification by adding a globular titanium oxide treated with a silane coupling agent. CONSTITUTION:This toner consists of a first toner definitely electrified in an agitated vessel and a second toner to be mixed in the first toner having a smaller electrification amt. than the first toner and coated with a globular titanium oxide made hydrophobic with a silane coupling agent. When the electrification amt. of the first toner is denoted by Q1, that of the toner immediately after the first and second toners are mixed by Q2 and that of the toner as the mixture of the first and second toners, which has been agitated and definitely electrified, by Q3, 1<=(Q1-Q2)/(Q3-Q2)>=5 is satisfied. Silica can be jointly used with the globular titanium oxide as the coating material. |
