OPTICAL DISK AS RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PURPOSE:To form a coating film free from unevenness in coating and to produce high reliability optical disks hardly causing the oxidation, corrosion or scratch of the recording layers in a high yield by providing an inorg. underlayer just under an overcoat layer. CONSTITUTION:When a recording layer 3 and an overcoat layer 5 are formed on a substrate 2 to obtain an optical disk, an inorg. underlayer 4 is formed just under the overcoat layer 5 from the inside of the coating position of the layer 5 to the outermost part of the disk and the upper surface of the underlayer 4 is coated with an overcoat resin 11. A uniform coating film free from the cissing of the resin and unevenness in coating can be formed and high reliability optical disks having fine appearance and hardly causing the oxidation, corrosion or scratch of the recording layers can be produced in a high yield.
