PURPOSE:To obtain an on-screen signal in interlocking with a video signal by superimposing the on-screen signal and the video signal and applying horizontal direction time compression processing to the superimposed signal. CONSTITUTION:A current system color television signal whose aspect ratio is 4:3 subject to Y, U, V demodulation and an on-screen signal subject to Y, U, V conversion by a Y, U, V conversion section 5 are inputted to a switch section 4, in which they are superimposed by using an on-screen switch signal Ys to be Y+Yon, U+Uon, and V+Von signals and they are inputted to a horizontal direction time compression processing section 2 to obtain the Y'+Yon', U'+Uon', and V'+Von', they are inputted to an RGB matrix section 3 and its output drives a cathode ray tube. When the screen size of a video signal is 43, the RGB on-screen signal is set within the size of 4:3 video signal and the on-screen signal in interlocking with the video signal is obtained. |
