The box comprises a base, a lid and an external side wall (2) consisting of a double sheet of corrugated cardboard. The side wall (2) consists of several panels (3) connected by fold lines (4). Two end panel ends are connected by a tongue.An inner reinforcement (10), made from a sheet of double sided corrugated cardboard, is secured to the inner surfaces of two panels (3). The end walls of the reinforcement coincide with the corresponding fold lines of the panels. The reinforcement (10) is formed from a succession of sections (11) connected by fold lines (12).
