The seat, esp. in a vehicle, has upholstery (4) on the seat (2) and/or backrest (3). The upholstery is attached to a base (5) and has a covering (6) the underside of which has plastics attachments each with at least one barbed hook (13) at the free end. The free end of a bar (15) catches behind the hook and has an arm (15'') on the attachment side facing away from the hook (13). The bar (15) has a U-shaped cross section and is incorporated in the upholstery. The end of the first arm (15') has a further barbed hook (16) pointing to the bar cross-piece (15''') the bar has at least one extension (17) on which is a transverse flange (17'). USE/ADVANTAGE - The economically produced fastening for the upholstery is easily attached by a bar in the upholstery foam.
