The folding underneath frame (1), especially for a caravan table, has each upright consisting of a top (21), middle (23) and bottom (22) part folding out and in and locked in position. Parallel to the lengthwise direction of the upright are sleeves (44) incorporated in the top and bottom uprights and into which slide locking pins (8) in the middle upright. The middle upright has a stop (10) for the uprights, consisting of a gear with plate, pivot lever (4), and levers for moving the locking pins. A first hinge (11) has two V-shaped parts moving in a hinge link. A second hinge (12) has two L-shaped parts the free end lengthwise edge of each of which opens into one arm of a hinge link. USE/ADVANTAGE - The table underneath frame is stable, safe and pleasing in appearance and the uprights are made from an enclosed wooden profile.
