The method is for producing moulded polyurethane foam with open pores, in which the ingoing components are mixed suitably and thereafter injected into a closed mould space in a mould provided with ventilating holes or are held in the mould space in an open mould which is then closed. The polyurethane foam with regulatable density is produced by the mould space being set under vacuum during the foaming process. The vacuum is produced with the aid of a vacuum system connected to the ventilating holes in the mould. The pressure in the mould space during the foaming process is pref. approximately 10-70 kPa. The polyurethane foam produced has a density of pref. approximately 15-60 kg/m3. The cycle time for prodn. is approximately 1-10 minutes. The mould temp. is approximately 20-100 deg C. Water is used as bubble medium in the prodn. of the foam. |
