The windowpane (5) slides vertically in a shaft (3) in the door. There is a profile seal for the gap between the pane and the external door panel. Inside the body of the door (1) is a pivoting locking member (13), sloping upwards in the shaft to the outside surface of the pane. The member can be fixed to the holder (9) for the seal (7). The holder can be of plastics, with the member integral with it, being joined to it by a hinge film. The free end of the member can be sharp and extend for the full width of the shaft.
