The invention relates to an instrument for measuring physical activities of a test person and is designed for being attached to a moving part of the body of said person, comprising a contact means which, upon movement of said part of the body, is able, owing to inertial effects, to make and break electrical contacts, so that a counting circuit (counter circuit) connected thereto is switched accordingly, thus counting the number of times contact has been made. According to the invention, the contact means consists of a support which can be fastened to the part of the body and on which a number of single inertial switches is arranged in a radial alignment from a centre, said switches each being connected to their own separate counter of a counting circuit, thus allowing the number of times to be counted that contact has been made in the corresponding switch.
