The pointed part (18) comprises two jaw components movable to and from each other (20, 21) and which are opened with the aid of a hydraulic cylinder to release the individual plants. A pressure monitor (35) is coupled to an electric or electronic control unit (36) which controls the jaw movements. The jaw components are opened when the monitor, in conjunction with the pointed part brought into contact with the ground, monitors a pressure thrust. The value of thrust is between lower and upper limit values. The jaws are held closed when the pressure thrust value is either below the lower limit value or above the upper limit value. |
