PURPOSE:To get a large-sized electric double layer capacitor small in inner resistance and high in energy density by arranging a porous film in a plate- shaped bag where many small holes are opened on one side made of conductive rubber, and accommodating an activated carbon-sulfuric acid kneaded substance inside the bag. CONSTITUTION:For a plate-shaped bag 8 made of conductive rubber, a number of small holes 1 are opened on one side. An electron conductive porous film 3 is attached inside this bag 8 having the small holes 3. An activated carbon- sulfuric acid kneaded substance 2 to serve as a collector is accommodated in this bag 8. To improve the electric conductivity by the contact of fellow activated carbon, graphite or the like may be mixed in. Since an electrode is made with this bag as a collector, and it is inserted in a plastic vessel having a bulkhead, pressure can be applied equally to the activated carbon-sulfuric acid kneaded substance at large, therefore it can be made into a large-sized electric double capacitor small in inner resistance. |
