The flat, adaptable segment (3,4) is structured, in that it has at least one through aperture (8,9) and/or at least one area-wise thickness redn. and/or at least one pref. channel-shaped recess. The segment (3,4) is of a plate-shaped cushion material, cut to shape. The plate-shaped cushion material is shape-stable but deformable, soft and elastic and is heat and cold-proof. It is skin-compatible, anti-allergic, perspiration-permeable and breathing-active, as is also a textile casing for the segment. The plate-shaped cushion material is made of wadding, felt and/or plastic, with a suitable seal for use. The casing is formed by knitted material in the form of strips and/or a stocking. For fixing the dressing and adapting it to the body adhesive closures and/or Velcro (RTM) closures are provided. Additional pile, rubber parts and/or hold or cold packaging are provided which are at least partly constituents of the dressing (1).
