<p>PURPOSE:To manufacture the active matrix type liquid crystal display device of high display quality by discharging electrostatic charges generated at the time of a rubbing process and preventing a thin film transistor from varying in characteristics as to the manufacture of a new active matrix type liquid crystal display device where measures against the static electricity generation in an orienting process are taken. CONSTITUTION:The manufacture of the liquid crystal display device having an active matrix substrate constituted by arranging X bus lines 2 and Y bus lines 6 on an insulating substrates so that they cross each other, arranging thin film transistors and pixel electrodes 9 at the respective intersections of the X bus lines 2 and Y bus lines 6, and connecting one current electrode of each of the thin film transistors to a Y bus line 6 and the other current electrode to the pixel electrode 9 includes the process wherein a voltage which turns ON a thin film transistor is applied between the X bus line 2 and Y bus line 6 and the rubbing is carried out.</p> |
