PURPOSE:To reduce a weight of a tire without deteriorating a retention of an air pressure. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic tire is obtained by laminating a thin film made of an aliphatic polyamide, in which all or part of amide groups are methoxymethylated, on the inner surface of the tire. The pneumatic tire is produced in the following method: a thin film made of the aliphatic polyamide is laminated or a solution or aqueous emulsion of the aliphatic polyamide is sprayed or applied on the inner peripheral surface of a carcass layer 2 of a green tire or on the inner peripheral surface of an inner liner layer 3 made of a gas-impermeable rubber and provided on the inner pheripheral surface of the carcass layer 2, and the green tire is vulcanized. As an alternative method, a solution or aqueous emulsion of the aliphatic polyamide is sprayed or applied on the inner peripheral surface of a carcass layer 2 of a vulcanized tire or on the inner peripheral surface of an inner liner layer 3 made of a gas- impermeable rubber and provided on the inner pheripheral surface of the carcass layer 2. |
