摘要 <p>Treatment of waste H2SO4 (I) by photocomposition of organic impurities comprises intensive irradiation with 0.01-100 MW/m2 radiation at 200-1500 deg.C in a reaction chamber acting as direct absorbing receiving, opt. with decomposition of the H2SO4 mol. into SO2, O2 and H2O. Pref. an artificial light source is used and the light is directed into the chamber with an optical array of mirrors and/or lenses, pref. sepd. from the chamber by a window. Alternatively, direct sunlight is used, pref. in conjunction with a central receiver system, a paraboloid concentrator, a fixed focus concentrator or a solar furnace, an elliptical or spherical mirror, a vacuum tube collector of a line-focussing concentrator. The electro-magnetic radiation has a wavelength of over 190 nm and pref. is near UV radiation or visible light, pref. with an intensity of 0.1-10, esp. 0.2-3 MW/m2. USE/ADVANTAGE - The process is useful for treating (I) from the chemical industry or refining mineral oil, which contains by-prods., dissolved matter and opt. microparticles and is greatly diluted with water, making it unsuitable for further use. The acid is regenerated very easily and directly, eliminating the need for concn. and high temp. decomposition. Since solar power can be used, fossil fuel consumption can be avoided.</p>
