PURPOSE:To correctly print a zip code on a postal card by displaying the zip code in a two-dimensional code on a zip code list, and displaying the zip code in a one-dimensional code on the postal card, etc., after converting the two-di mensional code. CONSTITUTION:The zip codes 10 proper to a city, a town, a county, etc., are attached on the zip code list 1, and also, the two-dimensional codes 11 in accordance with the zip codes are described. Also, a reader 2 which reads the two-dimensional code is comprised of well known light source, convergence lens, and camera, and the code can be read by mapping the reflected light of the two-dimensional code irradiated with light from the light source via the convergence lens. A controller 4 performs such control to decode the two-dimensional code 11 mapped on the camera, and to convert it to the one-dimensional code, and to print the one-dimensional code on the postal card, etc., by controlling a printer 5. The printer 5 is of ink jet system, and is controlled by the controller 4, and prints the one-dimensional code on the prescribed part of the postal card, etc. |
