The device is constituted by a sheet (1) which is a rectangular piece of plastic or metal. The sheet is folded through 90 degrees or back on itself to make a series of compartments (2,3,4,5) of whatever number is required. These are separated by narrower compartments (6,7,8) and are limited by sides (9,10) at the outer edge. One pole of each magnet (11,12,13,14) is stuck to each compartment to create the parallel fields. The folds prevent interactions between the magnets and the formation of shunt fields. The sheet is then bent to different radii of curvature as required. The magnets are particularly neodymium-iron-boron or samarium-cobalt ones. USE/ADVANTAGE - Electric motor stators or rotors. Overcomes mfg. problems of ceramic materials.
