The applicator incorporates a spray nozzle (1) travelling along a track round the shoe upper. A ring of soft material is positioned round the spray nozzle and seals the spraying area from the ambient air and defines the area of application of the adhesive on the workpiece. The ring is in the form of an annular brush (2) rotating round the nozzle which is axially adjustable within the ring. The nozzle's axis differs from that of the ring and is adjustable. USE/ADVANTAGE - The applicator applies adhesive to the base and sides of the shoe without touching adjacent parts.
