Appts. for iontophoretic application of active agents comprises: (a) an agent-contg. electrode; (b) an agent-free counter electrode; (c) an appts. for supplying current connected to both electrodes, so that on applying a current, an electric field is formed, in which the electrodes are in contact with the skin of the patient. The novelty is that the appts. contains an integrated circuit, which maintains a pulsed direct field with constant frequency. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used for pharmacologically active agents with increased flux rates. Less energy is used in the migration of the active agent.
